“I have always had a big respect and admiration for the great effort done by the small communities of coffee growers in Colombia.

That is why in 1999 when the Cauca Coffee Growers Cooperative proposed me to support a group of women who were willing to economically help their families by becoming coffee growers; I thought that was an excellent opportunity to give them back something we receive through their effort.

Nowadays, it is a great pleasure to see how those women have grown up, how they produce their own coffee, how they develop training and quality projects, etc.

We wish we can keep on working together to further improve the life conditions of so many coffee growing families. This is our compromise”.
